Ema Klugman

Ema uses: TOTAL PLUS

Ema Klugman is a 25-year old young event rider with horses ranging from Training through Advanced that she has started and produced. She was the highest-placed youngest rider at the Kentucky Three-Day Event in 2021 abord her longtime partner Bendigo. Her other results include top-10 finishes at Great Meadow, Morven Park, and Bromont four-stars. She was 3 rd at the Ocala Jockey Club CCI****-L in 2019, and won the CCI***-L in Lexington in 2020. Most recently, she was 2nd in the CCI****-S at the inaugural Maryland International four-star on her up-and-coming mare, RF Redfern.

In 2019, she twice won the prestigious $3000 Bromont Rising grant for young riders. These grants allowed her to compete at the Bromont three-day event in Canada and the Ocala Jockey Club three-day event in Florida.

Ema also competes in pure show jumping through the 1.40 meter level. She has worked as a rider in the barns of two U.S. team riders, developing young horses and riding horses at the top level, from novice to five-star. Finally, she is one of two people in the U.S. to achieve all three USPC “A” ratings: in dressage, show jumping, and eventing.

In addition to being a competitive event rider, she also completed her undergraduate degree at Duke University with a 3.9 GPA, and is currently in her 3rd-year of law school at George Washington University.
