Raised in Irving, Texas, Candace Pratt was in third grade when she received her first pony. She focused on developing her riding skills and her parents purchased several horses to step up her experience and she became very competitive in the AASP & RC where they ran several different speed events including barrels and poles.
What may have started as a hobby or sport quickly became a deeply held bond and respect for horses, the people who care for them, and the western lifestyle. Opportunities to compete on her horses were countless and over the years she competed in barrel races and rodeos. In 1988 she became a member of IGRA started competing and is the top ranked female competitor of all time with over 120 All Around Cowgirl titles and more than 200 event buckles won throughout her career to date. She was recognized and inducted into the IGRA Hall of Fame in 2006. Candace has also won many World and Reserve World championship titles in AQHA, APHA, ABRA, PTHA and Congress titles in APHA in barrels, poles, and stake race. She enters and supports many events and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Candace’s focus is more than the competition. Preventative care, nutrition, respect, and discipline lead to strong, trusting relationships with her equine partners and is the foundation to all aspects of her horses training, competition, breeding program, and caring for her retired horses.
“Meeting the Arnall’s and incorporating their products into the foundation of my horses care has accelerated injury recovery and is key to their health and maintenance program.”
